It’s a youth-led environmental initiative in Kabul that plants 5 drought-tolerant trees every week to combat climate change, restore nature, and bring hope to our community.
The project was founded by Tamim Alimyar, a civil engineer and environmental advocate from Kabul, along with a group of young volunteers who care deeply about the future of Afghanistan’s environment.
We plant in the dry hills around Kabul, focusing on areas suffering from drought, dust, and land degradation. Each location is chosen based on its need for greenery and impact potential.
We plant drought-tolerant and fast-growing trees such as:
Acacia
Tamarisk
Moringa
Russian Olive
These trees are selected for their resilience and environmental benefits.
